Rustem Timurovich Miftakhutdinov - Arbitrator of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Judge of the Supreme Commercial Court of the Russian Federation from 2012 to 2014 (total experience in the judicial system is more than 13.5 years), Arbitrator of the Russian Arbitration Center at the Institute of Modern Arbitration, Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Head of the Master's Program "Bankruptcy Law" at St. Petersburg State University, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law of St. Petersburg State University,  Associate Professor of the Department of Commercial Law and Procedure of the Russian School of Private Law of the S.S. Alekseev Private Law Research Center under the President of the Russian Federation, member of the Supervisory Board of the Debt Restructuring Assistance Fund, PhD in Law.

More than 20 years in the legal profession, has the first qualification class of a judge.
Since 2012, he has been lecturing on bankruptcy and civil law at advanced training courses for lawyers, including at the Statute and M-Logos Law Schools, LF Academy and Lextorium, and regularly speaks at conferences, forums and other events, including the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

He was a direct participant in the development of many federal laws on bankruptcy issues, participated in the preparation of clarifications of higher courts on civil law, arbitration procedural law and bankruptcy.

Member of the working group under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Expert Group in the direction of "Corporate Governance, Special Administrative Regions, Bankruptcy Procedure, Appraisal Activities" and member of the Expert Council of the Federal Tax Service.

He is an expert in Russian civil law, arbitration procedural law (state procedure) and Russian bankruptcy law. He is the author of more than 30 scientific papers, publications on civil law, bankruptcy law and arbitration proceedings. He has repeatedly given interviews to the editors of leading legal journals in Russia.
